Historical and literary exhibition "M.A. Sholokhov. Time and Destiny"
Historical and literary display "MASholokhov, Time and destiny" replaced the previous one {"M.A. Sholokhov. Life and creative activity"), that had been here since 1985.
It has become one of the most important parts of the museum-reserve. The display summarizes all the Information about the writer's life and creative activity, gathered in M.A, Sholokhov's memorial house-museums.
The display is located in seven halls of the two-storeyed building, which was in 1913 occupied by the stanitsa administration and in 1916-1919 by the gymnasium which M.A. Sholokhov attended for several months.
Design of the display is of great importance, as it reflects an outstanding beauty and vividness of Sholokhov's creative work and a difficult life not only of his characters, but also of his works. This display contains manuscripts, books, photographs, letters, documents and works of fine art collected by the staff of the museum-reserve, collections, recent works of literary criticism; a great number of interesting documents that became available not long ago allowed to create the literary display of unique content and design.
